The Netherlands

On of our favorite trips we have taken was back to the Netherlands.  It was so amazing to be able to show the kids where we had lived before.  We got to drive by our old house, which looked exactly the same.  We took the kids to our favorite Pannenkoeken restaurant, which they loved, we showed them around our old stomping grounds, and of course took in some of the amazing things Holland has to offer! Man how our family has changed since we first lived here 8 years ago!

One of my favorite things we got to do in Holland was to visit the Keukenhof garden.  So it was top of the list for this trip.  It is such an amazing place with fun things for kids to do and the tulips are truly stunning. It is such a work of art.  We may have gotten rained on a little but, hey, it's Holland.  What else can you expect?

Our next stop was to the Madurodam Museum.  It is a miniature version of Holland and is a great place to take kids, a nice way to see all the things, with out actually having to see all the things.  They loved it!

We ended the day back in Eindhoven, showing the kids around a little bit and eating at a favorite restaurant.

The next day was another fun filled day.  We went to Toverland, the amusement park.  The kids of course had a blast, and so did we.  The sun was shining and there was hardly anyone there!  We got to do all the rides without much of a wait.

And just for good measure to make sure the kids were truly exhausted, we took them to a castle for a quick look around.

To end the trip, we went back to a favorite park in Eindhoven Speelgoed di splinter.  The kids had a blast riding the zip lines and seeing the animals.  It was such a fun trip.  Holland has a big piece of our hearts and I'm so thankful we got to take our family back!
