Sardinia
Now that we are in the swing of things with our new school routines, it's time to catch up on life!! Here's what you missed!
Our second visitors arrived the day after school was out for the summer! My mom and step dad were able to come and visit us for two weeks. They were welcome with a gigantic hail storm, it hailed so much it looked like snow drifts! We thought we would start the summer off in style, with a trip to Sardinia. It was unlike any place we have ever been.
Sardinia is a small Italian island about a one-hour flight away. It is known for its amazing beaches and crystal-clear water. Let me tell you, it didn't disappoint. What a great way to relax after a long school year and I can’t imagine a nicer way to get over jet lag!
Each day we chose a different beach, all offering something different. The sands were different, the landscape was different, the fact that they didn’t have any sea shells was different, the snorkeling was different and all were located with about 15 minutes of each other!
We decided to stay at an Airbnb for a little extra room and a pool. The kids were in heaven. We spent lazy mornings playing UNO, swimming, catching butterflies and then a quick drive to a new beach each day.
