House Hunting in Italy
In early December we took everyone to Italy for a quick 10 day trip to find a house. We had spent many months looking for homes and it was nerve wracking to only have a handful of options to look at. We were nervous to travel the 8 hours over the ocean with 3 little people, but like usual our kids rose up, pushed past their exhaustion and were such troopers on the whole trip!
We looked at several houses but found one we knew was it. We had seen it on the internet and it was our top choice even before seeing it in person. When we arrived, we ALL knew it was the one. The kids were at home, they ran and ran and played outside and made dreams of what they would do there when we lived there. Josh and I were so relieved and we ended up cancelling a couple of the other showings. Such an answered prayer!
The house has 4 bedrooms upstairs which is what we're used to, and everyone was happy they wouldn't have to share a room! Better yet, the main floor has a bedroom, with a bonus room for LOTS of guests!!! Get your bags packed!!
With the house box checked off, we got to spend a little time exploring and also got to go and visit the school. It is the International School of Bologna and it seems fabulous! The boys will learn in English and then also have an Italian lesson each day. The kids are from all over the world, some even from the midwest. Yay! The boys loved it and Jackson even got to go to recess with the kids. He was so happy playing soccer with them and wasn't ready to leave.
Big sigh of relief for us, one of the hardest parts of the move is taking our kids away from the schools and friends they love. It seems they will make fast friends and be right at home in no time! Another big prayer answered.
